Nicole Malliotakis, U.S. Representative for New York’s 11th district, recently shared updates on her official X account regarding civic engagement and ongoing federal budget debates.
On October 5, Malliotakis highlighted a local recognition event: “Nicole presented Mr. Hershkowitz, a dedicated educator at South Beach Academy who understands the importance of teaching civics, an American flag flown over the US Capitol. It will now proudly fly at the school housed at South Beach Psychiatric Center on #StatenIsland https://t.co/lrYYXzzMBd”.
The following day, she commented on recent political developments involving a government shutdown: “Thanks CNN for clarifying that Democrats indeed shut down the government so illegal immigrants can receive taxpayer funded healthcare. #SchumerShutdown https://t.co/l0zsPC2ZdJ” (October 6). Later that day, she added: “For all their talk about healthcare, the #SchumerShutdown is BLOCKING $1.4 billion for New York’s safety net hospitals, including $75 million to hospitals in our district. https://t.co/P7Ojol9EMT”.
Malliotakis has represented New York’s 11th District in Congress since 2021 after serving in the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2021.
