Nicole Malliotakis, a current U.S. Congress representative of New York’s 11th district, has been active on social media, highlighting several of her recent initiatives and reflections on national issues. Malliotakis, who succeeded Max Rose in 2021, also previously represented the state in the New York State Assembly for a decade.
On April 23, 2025, Malliotakis posted about her visit to local senior centers, emphasizing her legislative objective to reduce the taxes senior citizens pay on their social security income. In her post, she stated, “Stopped by local senior centers to say hello! One of my biggest priorities in Washington right now is to reduce the taxes senior citizens pay on their social security income. We will get it done!”
Later that same evening, Malliotakis commented on international trade developments, underscoring the positive impact of potential negotiations on America’s economic interests. She remarked, “The news that dozens of nations are coming to the table to negotiate fair trade deals is good for the American economy, businesses & workers. Reduced trade barriers, new markets and lower tariffs on American products will be BIG WINS!”
The following day, on April 24, 2025, Malliotakis expressed her commitment to safeguarding health programs for vulnerable groups. The post read, “Nicole is proud to be a leader in preserving Medicaid for our seniors, disabled and vulnerable citizens.”
Malliotakis, a New York City native born in 1980, resides in Staten Island. An alumna of Seton Hall University and Wagner College, she brings her educational background into her legislative role.
