Infrastructure updates lead Nicole Malliotakis’ social media highlights

Nicole Malliotakis, currently serving as the U.S. Congress representative for New York’s 11th district, shared several updates via social media on July 9, 2025. Her posts covered topics ranging from infrastructure improvements to educational initiatives and tax policy.

In a tweet posted at 12:05 PM UTC, Malliotakis celebrated the completion of new ADA-compliant elevators at the Bay Ridge–95th Street R station. She expressed her support for these upgrades, stating that they will ensure greater accessibility for those who need it most. Malliotakis emphasized her vote in favor of the federal infrastructure law by saying “I join the Bay Ridge community in celebrating the completion of the new ADA-compliant elevators at the Bay Ridge–95th Street R station. These upgrades will ensure greater accessibility for our neighbors who need it most and that’s why I voted for the federal infrastructure law”.

Later in the day, at 2:46 PM UTC, she tweeted about an event hosted by her office aimed at providing information about U.S. Service Academies. Representatives from West Point, the Naval Academy, the Air Force Academy, and the Merchant Marine Academy were present to discuss application processes and Congressional nominations with local students. The tweet stated “Our office was proud to host a U.S. Service Academy Information Night We welcomed representatives from West Point, the Naval Academy, the Air Force Academy, and the Merchant Marine Academy to share details about the application process and Congressional nominations with local”.

In another post at 7:02 PM UTC, Malliotakis highlighted a significant aspect of tax policy affecting working and middle-class taxpayers in her district. She noted that many constituents claim the standard deduction which was doubled under President Trump in 2017 and is now set to become permanent with annual increases due to recent legislative changes. She conveyed this message through her tweet “Many Working & Middle-Class taxpayers in our district claim the standard deduction, which President Trump DOUBLED in 2017. It will now be PERMANENT & continue to increase annually as a result of one big beautiful bill!”.

Nicole Malliotakis has served New York’s 11th District since 2021 after replacing Max Rose. Prior to this role, she was a member of the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2021. Born in New York City in 1980 and currently residing in Staten Island, Malliotakis holds degrees from Seton Hall University and Wagner College.
