Hofstra Pride, the current college team of former St. Peter’s High School standout Chris Bedford, claimed a 5-4 victory over the Monmouth Hawks in their NCAA Division I baseball game on Saturday, March 14, at 1 p.m.
The contest was held at MU Baseball Field. This marked the teams’ second meeting of the season. In their previous face-off on Friday, March 13, the Pride were defeated by the Hawks 5-4.
Bedford pitched 4.1 innings, giving up two earned runs while walking six and striking out four.
The Pride are set to play the Monmouth Hawks again at MU Baseball Field on Sunday, March 15, at 1 p.m.
