The Joseph Maffeo Foundation organized the 19th Annual Casino Night on March 22, 2025, held at Nicotra’s Ballroom. The event, attended by over 550 guests, successfully collected $750,000. The funds will benefit the Joseph Maffeo Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and a forthcoming pediatric center at Northwell Staten Island University Hospital (SIUH).

Activities for the night included blackjack, roulette, and a notable 50/50 Big Bucks Raffle, where the winner took home $15,000. Mary Beth Springstead was recognized with the Angel Award for her three-decade tenure at SIUH. Additionally, Macen’s Way revealed a significant $500,000 commitment to establish the Macen’s Way Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, which is anticipated to enhance pediatric care services on Staten Island.
