On Wednesday, March 18, at noon, Caitlin McTiernan, a former standout from St. Joseph-By-The-Sea High School, took the field with her current team, the SUNY Oneonta Red Dragons, in a 10-2 defeat to the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens in NCAA Division III softball.
The matchup was hosted at Wig Beach Field and marked the first meeting between the Red Dragons and Sagehens this season.
McTiernan pitched 2.1 innings and notched one strikeout.
The Red Dragons are scheduled to play Pomona-Pitzer again at Wig Beach Field on Wednesday, March 18, at 4 p.m.
