The Baruch Bearcats, featuring former Tottenville High School star Thomas Puglisi, were narrowly defeated 7-6 by the NJCU Gothic Knights in their NCAA Division III baseball matchup on Tuesday, March 17, at 3:30 p.m.
The contest was held at the Thomas M. Gerrity Athletic Complex and marked the teams’ opening meeting of the season.
Puglisi pitched five innings, giving up four earned runs, with three strikeouts and one walk.
Baruch’s next matchup is set for Thursday, March 19, at 3:30 p.m. at Flowers Park against the Mount Saint Mary Knights.
