On April 8, 2026, Lanza shared details about an upcoming public event: “Saturday, April 25th from 10:30am-12:30pm the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) will be hosting a free, public event at Mount Loretto Unique Area as part of the 2026 City Nature Challenge. No pre-registration required. Rain date is scheduled for April 26th 10:30am https://t.co/ldGjb94Tsb”. The event is organized by the Department of Environmental Conservation and is open to all residents.
Two days later, on April 10, Lanza addressed concerns over local shelter policies. He stated: “This morning, I joined local elected officials and Staten Island residents at a press conference to oppose the planned conversion of the migrant shelter at 1111 Father Capodanno Boulevard into a permanent homeless shelter. https://t.co/WAeqFzPZMG”. In a subsequent post on the same day he added: “I will continue fighting to ensure Staten Island’s voice is heard and our communities are protected.
